Victoria Cortez is a sophomore and a Child and Family Studies major with a minor in Spanish and Special Education. Outreach is her assignment at College Prep for Latinos, and among her many tasks her primary responsibility is researching and compiling scholarship information. She is also College Prep for Latino’s webmaster and tech person.
Victoria’s background—half Salvadorian, half Caucasian, from Washington, D.C.—keeps her connected to others of diverse heritages. She is very dedicated to helping the Latino community at large and giving the voiceless a voice.
Victoria’s goal in life is to open a nonprofit daycare in Washington, D.C., for those impoverished families who cannot afford it.
