The state-of-the-art campus at Northpointe, a planned mixed-use community immediately off of Route 28 at exit 18, opened in August 2005. The primary mission of the IUP at Northpointe Regional Campus is meeting the workforce-related education needs of Armstrong County and surrounding region in manufacturing technologies, computer-based training, and health-related disciplines. It is the workforce engine for the county and surrounding communities, providing citizens of the region with access to higher educational opportunities that foster economic, professional, and workforce development. Both credit and noncredit programs are offered with special emphasis on associate degrees, graduate degrees, certifications, and liberal studies courses for the first-year experience for commuter students.
