The mission of this organization is to promote quality Social Studies education by:
- Advocating the Social Studies at all levels of education in Pennsylvania
- Promote professional development, community building, and networking opportunities for students interested in Social Studies Education careers
- Promoting the analysis, dissemination, and evaluation of Social Studies materials
- Cooperating with schools, districts, intermediate units, and other interested parties on approved Social Studies projects
