Cynthia Mellen, M.S., ALCM, CSP is a safety consultant with the PA-OSHA Consultation Program at IUP. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Albright College and a Master of Science in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a Certified Safety Professional and Associate Loss Control Manager (ALCM).
Before joining the consultation program, she worked for an environmental management company in their industrial hygiene laboratories. Later, she served as a loss control consultant for Kemper National Insurance. She has been a member of the PA-OSHA Consultation Program since 1994 as well as both the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) since 1989.
