Mark McGahen

Mark S. McGahen has spent the past twelve years with the PA/OSHA Consultation Program. Prior to this appointment, Mark worked for over eighteen years providing a wide range of loss control services for clients of the insurance industry.

Education:

B.S. in Safety and Health – Indiana University of Pennsylvania

M.S. in Safety and Health – Indiana University of Pennsylvania

CSP, Certified Safety Professional – Board of Certified Safety

Certified Accident and Illness Consultant – Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry

Mark has devoted much of his efforts to the development of safety and health programs and employee training for small- to medium-size businesses in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Kentucky. These efforts, including listening, evaluating, and strategizing the concerns of both management and labor, assist in improving corporate bottom-line loss costs. He combines regulatory compliance with effectively developing positive safety cultures.

In 1996, Mark was successful in assisting Capitol Bus Company to become the “Best in the Nation” for risk control practices.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in Safety and Health from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been a certified safety professional since 1996.
