Noncredit Programs: Registration and More Information

Registration

Online: You can register and pay for your class at Marketplace—Community University Studies, Noncredit Programs. Electronic check and credit cards are accepted.

In person: You can register and pay for your class at the Office of Adult and Continuing Education, Suite 100, Keith Hall, on the IUP campus. Office hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. You may also call the office at 724-357-2292 or 800-640-7421 to get assistance in registering for a class.

Your confirmation letter: Once you're registered, you'll receive a confirmation letter that lists the classroom location. You must present your confirmation letter to the instructor at the first class.

Supply Fees

Supply fees are paid to the instructor at the first class. Credit cards are not accepted.

Age Restrictions

Participants under age 18 may register for classes only if they are registered with an adult or guardian and have prior approval of Conference Services.

Continuing Education Units and/or Act 48 Hours

CEU units and hours are awarded for participation in approved courses and workshops.

Parking

Parking is open to the public after 5:00 p.m. except in spaces marked 24-hour reserved or handicapped. For more information, contact Campus Police at 724-357-2141.

Cancellations

The Office of Adult and Continuing Education reserves the right to postpone, limit enrollment, cancel, split, or combine classes and to change instructors and class locations when necessary. Because telephone contacts must be made during the day, please include on your registration form a daytime telephone number or a number where a message may be left for you.

If classes have to be canceled because of inclement weather, there will be an announcement on the IUP web site and area radio stations.

Refunds/Withdrawals

For written withdrawal received three working days before the first class meeting, 100 percent of the fee is refunded, less a $15 administrative fee. For written withdrawal received before the second class meeting, 50 percent of the fee is refunded, less a $15 administrative fee. No refunds are given after the second class meeting. Fees for courses that meet only once are not refundable unless written withdrawal is received three working days before the class meets, less a $15 administrative fee. Ceasing to attend a class does not constitute official withdrawal. Telephone withdrawals are not accepted. Refunds take approximately four weeks to process.
