About the Job Board

The Student Employment Program provides a listing of jobs to students seeking part-time and/or summer employment for both off-campus and on-campus employment opportunities.

The Program facilitates interaction with the local business community, seasonal employers, on-campus departmental offices and college students who are seeking to fulfill employment needs. There is no fee to the employer or to the student. A listing of available positions can be found posted in an employment binder located in the Student Employment Program, or by accessing the Student Employment Program's website. Jobs we receive are posted at both locations.

In addition to the jobs posted on the Student Employment Program’s website, if you qualify for the Federal Work-Study program, you can gain practical work experience related to your major by working at an off-campus location. Obtain more information about this opportunity by visiting the Service Learning website. Eligibility for the Federal Work-Study program is determined based upon financial need. All inquiries pertaining to one's eligibility should be directed to the Financial Aid Office. Students who do not demonstrate financial need may be employed under university employment.

Information pertaining to eligibility for employment, payroll information and student employment wage rates is available on the Student Payroll website.

If you are looking for a full-time permanent job, please visit the Career Development Center’s website. If you are seeking a non-student employee position at IUP, please visit the IUP Human Resources website.

Disclaimer:

IUP Student Employment resources are provided free of charge to employers and to student job seekers. All hiring and compensation for work performed by student employees is handled directly between the student and the employer. The Student Employment Center does not perform background checks on students applying for jobs, nor on employers posting job opportunities. Employers and students are encouraged to request reference information from each other as needed to establish qualifications, credentials and overall fit between the employer and the student applicant.

All job listings are posted at the discretion of the Student Employment Program. We will not post jobs that appear to discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, age, national origin, disabled or Vietnam Era veteran status, sexual orientation, disability, or gender. The Student Employment Program also reserves the right to refuse to post jobs that do not support the interests of the university and/or the students.

The IUP Student Employment Program provides a referral service and makes no particular recommendations regarding employers. We make no representations or guarantees about positions posted by this office. We are not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or any other aspect of off-campus employment. Students are urged to perform due diligence in researching employers when applying for or accepting private off-campus employment. The Student Employment Program staff members are available for consultation on how to research prospective employers.

For additional information regarding this disclaimer, please contact the IUP Career Development Center.

While jobs posted on our website are intended to reach college students, employers must expect that jobs may be viewable by the general public. Even where web pages offer restricted access, job postings may be conveyed by those with access to others without access.
