Where Students and Employers Connect

Students

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet representatives from local and national companies and organizations. Employers will be looking for individuals for full-time positions, as well as internships and co-ops. The Career Expo also provides you an opportunity to explore employers and career opportunities that you may have never thought about. Participating also provides you with an opportunity for face-to-face contact with recruiters and a chance to polish your networking skills (no matter how brief your contact). Although the Career Expo is primarily intended for IUP juniors and seniors of all majors, freshmen and sophomores may also attend to get a general idea of what a career fair entails, as long as they are dressed appropriately.

Upperclassmen and alumni are encouraged to take the time to prepare a resume and bring multiple copies (thirty to forty) with you. Professional dress is required.

Employer Registration

The IUP Career Expo 2013 offers employers with entry-level, internship, and co-op positions an opportunity to meet in one central location with alumni, graduating students, and underclassmen. Candidates attending will be IUP current students or graduates of the university with associate, bachelor, and/or graduate degrees. Employers will be able to speak with candidates, distribute recruitment literature, and conduct brief interviews.

The table registration fee for profit-making organizations is $475; for nonprofit organizations it is $300. Payment can be made by electronic check or credit card (MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). To reserve your space, please fill out the IUP Career Expo 2013 Employer Registration Form. Sponsorship

Looking for a way to increase visibility and create higher awareness of your organization to students at the IUP 2013 Career Expo? All sponsorships include a basic table registration fee (no more than four recruiters), appropriate signage, and recognition at the event with preferred table placement. With more than 14,000 students and 1,200 faculty/staff, sponsorship of an IUP Career Development event also presents an important branding opportunity to gain name recognition for your company and/or product.

The following sponsorship opportunities are available:

  • Morning refreshments: Provide coffee/tea/juice and continental breakfast for student participants. Cost: $600
  • Afternoon refreshments: Provide soda/water/iced tea and snacks for student participants. Cost: $400
  • Lunch: Underwrite cost of buffet lunch for students, employers, and faculty. Cost: $2,000
  • Program: Underwrite cost of printing employer directory. Cost: $1,400
