Navigation Assistance for the Bureau of Economic Analysis Website

For National GDP Data:

  • Click on “Gross Domestic Product (GDP)” under the National heading.
  • Click on “Current-dollar and “real” GDP” to view the GDP from the most recent measure back to 1929.
  • Or click on “Percentage change from preceding period” to view the percentage change in GDP from the most recent measure back to 1930.
  • Or click on interactive tables for “GDP and the National Income and Product Account (NIPA) Historical Tables” for a choice of tables showing more detailed GDP data from the most recent measure back to 1929.  Chose the specific years you want using the scroll down menu at the top of the table.

For Regional GDP Data:

  • Click on “GDP by State and Metropolitan Area” under the Regional heading.
  • Click on interactive tables for “Gross Domestic Product by State” or “Gross Domestic Product by Metropolitan Area.”
  • You get to choose the specific type of data to view as well as the specific location, industries, and years you would like to view.
  • You can then choose to have the data displayed in html or downloaded as a cvs file.
