For Price Data:
- Click on “Historical Data” under the Consumer Price Index (CPI) heading on the right side of the page.
- The monthly percentage change in the CPI is shown both graphically in a chart below the graph.
- You can also change the years at the top of that screen to fit what you are searching for.
For National Unemployment Data:
- Click on “Historical Data” under the Unemployment Rate heading on the right side of the page.
- The unemployment rate is shown both graphically in a chart below the graph.
- You can also change the years at the top of that screen to fit what you are searching for.
For State and Local Unemployment Data:
- Under subject areas on the left of the screen, move your cursor to the Unemployment heading, and then click on “State and Local Unemployment Rates.”
- Current state unemployment rates are listed on the right hand of the page.
- Or at the bottom of the list of state unemployment rates click choose a state from the scroll down menu available under Regional Resources. This will provide a list of the most commonly requested unemployment rates for regions within the state you selected.
- Or scroll down to the Tables and Maps Created by BLS section for a wide range of data on state and regional unemployment rates.
