The B.S. in Applied Mathematics degree prepares students for work in business, industry, statistics, engineering, and a variety of other careers.  Please see the department’s factsheet for a list of careers of recent IUP graduates. The B.S. in Applied Mathematics and the B.S. in Mathematics share the same core courses; the choice of courses in the junior and senior years allows the student to select the emphasis he/she wants to pursue. Students with a particular interest in business and finance might be interested in the B.A. in Economics/Mathematics degree.
