Students who are required to take calculus should consider a minor in mathematics. A minor in mathematics is an excellent complement to a degree in any quantitative discipline.

Minor – Mathematics (17 cr.)

Required Courses: 

MATH 121 and 122 or MATH 123 and 124

Other courses for math majors, MATH 219 may be included (1)

(1)   The following courses are excluded: MATH 100, 101, 105, 110, 115, 117, 214, 217, 417, 418, and courses for the Elementary Education concentration in Mathematics.

 

A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 in MATH courses is required for a minor in mathematics.  The department will not certify a minor for a transfer student unless at least two of the courses counting for the minor have been completed in the Mathematics Department.
