Congratulations to two Journalism majors whose work was recognized at IUP’s 2009 Undergraduate Scholars Forum on April 7.
Tara Friedl, a senior from Moon Township, earned an Outstanding Paper Presentation award for her research about the gender bias in media broadcasting.
Jessica Brown, a sophomore from Vintondale, earned an Honorable Mention for her research about organizations using Facebook as a public relations tool.
Eleven other students from Dr. Papakie-McCoy's JRNL 481 PR Research class participted in the forum. Five students presented papers, and six students presented posters.
