The silent auction will take place on this website from 8:00 a.m. on March 17, 2010, through 11:59 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, and at the Legacy Gala on April 10, 2010.
The high bid for each item on line will be the starting bid for the silent auction at the Legacy Gala. All proceeds from the auction will go to the University Fund for Academic Excellence.
Instructions
Placing a Bid
Click on the item(s) on which you’d like to bid. All bids submitted by 3:00 p.m. EST will be updated by the start of the next business day. If two identical bids are received, the bid received first will be the top bid.
Winning an Auction
The highest on-line bid for each item will be the starting bid at the Legacy Gala silent auction. If no bids are placed at the Legacy Gala silent auction, the on-line bidder will be the winner. Last year, a number of on-line bidders won prizes.
End of On-Line Auction
On-line bidding ends on 11:59 a.m. EDT on April 7.
Payment Details
All leading on-line bidders will be contacted by an IUP representative on Thursday, April 8, to secure a payment method. As mentioned in the auction rules, the leading on-line bid on the website will be the starting bid at the live auction at the Legacy Gala. Charge cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), personal checks, or money orders will be accepted. Items can be picked up at IUP or can be shipped to you for a minimal charge.
