First designed three years ago by IUP senior Dijon Cole, IUP Day allows students to explore ways of getting involved at IUP.
In addition, IUP Day allows for each recognized student organization to increase awareness of its mission and potentially its membership base. As a result, students gain a clear sense of the IUP community and the opportunities available through the recognized campus organizations, clubs, and activities.
IUP Day showcases recognized campus organizations that plan small events and/or activities to engage those students who attend. In previous years, events have included a fencing display by the IUP Fencing Club, a cornhole tournament with members of Phi Kappa Psi, and a stepshow organized by the members of Alpha Phi Alpha. IUP President Tony Atwater has even visited IUP Day to scoop ice cream and chat with students.
If you have ideas for IUP Day, we would love to hear them! Please direct your comments to our survey.
