First designed in Fall ’07 by IUP alumnus Dijon Cole, IUP Day allows students to explore ways of getting involved at IUP.
In addition, IUP Day allows for each recognized student organization to increase awareness of its mission and potentially its membership base. As a result, students gain a clear sense of the IUP community and the opportunities available through the recognized campus organizations, clubs, and activities.
IUP Day showcases recognized campus organizations that plan small events and/or activities to engage those students who attend. In previous years, events have included a fencing display by the IUP Fencing Club, a cornhole tournament with members of Phi Kappa Psi, and a stepshow organized by the members of Alpha Phi Alpha. IUP President Driscoll will be meeting IUP students and serving ice cream between noon and 2:00 p.m.
IUP Day 2013 is scheduled for September 21 and is being planned by a group of students from across the university. Together, they are planning activities, music, give-aways, food, entertainment, and more. Recognized organizations can register for IUP Day 2013 using this form. If you are unable to access the form, please e-mail registration-iupday@iup.edu for a different format.
