Accident Prevention Training

The university provides various types of training to address workplace safety and environmental hazards. This training is provided in a number of different venues. Listed below are the types of training provided and the provider of that training.

The university is convinced that safe practices are as important off the job as they are in the workplace. Training is provided about off-the-job safety subjects related to home. Most importantly, the safety and health of employees is a priority. Secondly, good safety habits off the job help to promote good safety habits in the workplace, resulting in accident prevention and no lost-time workplace accidents.

Employees will receive additional training needed as indicated by accident investigation and job assessments.

All employees will receive training before being assigned to new work duties.

All University Police officers and Energy Conservation and Production personnel are trained to provide CPR and first aid with yearly updates. The Human Resource Department offers CPR training.
