Christopher A. Janicak, professor, comes to us from Illinois State University where he was an associate professor and director, Occupational Safety Program. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Research Methodology from Loyola University in May 1993. He has an M.S. in Industrial Technology and a B.S. in Health and Safety Studies. He has taught at Loyola University of Chicago as well as Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He has worked as the safety coordinator for three Park Districts in Illinois and as a loss control consultant for Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. Dr. Janicak has been published extensively in peer reviewed publications, made numerous conference presentations, and conducted several research projects. He has served as president of the Central Illinois Chapter of the ASSE and currently he is the membership committee chairperson for the Safety and Health Educators Branch of the Insurance and Risk Management Division of the ASSE.
