- The Council of Trustees approved naming a training laboratory in the John P. Murtha Institute for Homeland Security in honor of Edison International Company’s Homer City Generating Station.
- Kennedy Center Selects IUP Production
- IUP’s production of Violet Sharp has qualified for and will be performed in regional competition at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region II this month.

- The Physics Department’s Devki Talwar recently was invited to present at the Science Conclave with Nobel Laureates at Indian Institute of Information Technology.
