- Sarah Dietz and Nour Arnauot served as speakers at December’s commencement ceremonies, while Robert Anderson addressed those who attended the undergraduate ceremony and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree.

- The IUP Council of Trustees approved naming the Suites on Grant residence hall in honor of alumna Donna Putt for her six years of service on the Foundation for IUP Board of Directors.

- The Council of Trustees approved naming a training laboratory in the John P. Murtha Institute for Homeland Security in honor of Edison International Company’s Homer City Generating Station.
- Kennedy Center Selects IUP Production
- IUP’s production of Violet Sharp has qualified for and will be performed in regional competition at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region II this month.

- The Physics Department’s Devki Talwar recently was invited to present at the Science Conclave with Nobel Laureates at Indian Institute of Information Technology.
