Intercollegiate American Sign Language Network

The purpose of the Intercollegiate American Sign Language Network shall be:

  • To forge relationships between schools offering deaf education and interpreting programs
  • To promote interest and diversity of knowledge in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture
  • To provide the opportunity for members to learn and to use the third most widely used language in the USA
  • To give students who are not in the Deaf Education program or otherwise not taking American Sign Language classes the tools they need to learn the language
  • To host deaf culture events to give students direct contact with the populous for which they learn the language.

Membership is open to all members of the IUP community.
