Support the Department

Please consider a donation to the Joseph C. Clark Research Scholarship, Geoscience Foundation, the Paul Prince Memorial Scholarship, the Walt Granata Memorial Scholarship, and the Next Generation Field Geology Fund.

This can be specified on the donation form by indicating the account codes below for the specific funds.

  • Donations to IUP and the department can be made through Support IUP. Please indicate the correct code for directing your funds.

    • Joseph C. Clark Research Scholarship
      (code: 630545): This fund was established to recognize and honor Dr. Clark’s distinguished career and his dedication to the Geoscience Department and its students. This fund is used to provide annual scholarship awards and support for student-faculty research projects.

    • Geoscience Foundation
      (code: 224530): This is for the general support of current students and the department. It is used to help students finance trips to national conferences to present their research, to help high-achieving students attend field camps, to support regional field trips, and for many other opportunities.

    • Paul Prince Memorial Scholarship for Research in Oceanography 
      (code:224783): The scholarship honoring Paul Prince is used to support students conducting research in Oceanography. This includes financing for travel for research expeditions, field expenses, sample analysis, and funding for students’ travel to conferences to present their research findings.

    • Walt Granata Memorial Scholarship for Research in Geology
      (code: 224784): The scholarship honoring Walt Granata is used to support students conducting research in all fields of Geology. This includes financing for travel for field work, sample analysis costs, field expenses, and gear as well as students’ travel to conferences to present their research findings.

    • Next Generation Field Geology Fund
      (code:224789 ): This fund was established by a generous alumni in 2013 to support students in pursuing outstanding field opportunities as they arise.
