A member of the Developmental Studies Department has received a national award.
Arden Hamer was presented with the Distinguished Teaching Award at the national College Reading and Learning Association annual conference last month.
According to the association, the award recognizes a member who exemplifies teaching and learning as a lifelong journey. Recipients of this honor are professionals who provide their students with a clear model of enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and compassionate teaching and who encourage their students to persevere and achieve interdependence. One award is presented annually.
