Biography
Dr. Mutchnick joined the IUP faculty in 1982. His currently has been working on the development of online learning materials for delivering criminology classes. Recently, he published a DVD for use in Introduction to Criminology and was a coauthor with Randy Martin and W. Timothy Austin of the book Criminological Thought: Pioneers Past and Present (2009). In early 2009, he anticipates the publication of two books: one entitled Introduction to Criminology. which will be paired with the DVD; and a second with Bruce Berg and Connie Ireland, a workbook for research methods. Currently he is working on a project to develop new teaching tools for Introduction to Criminal Justice and a text to accompany the materials. In addition to being a member of the Department of Criminology, Dr. Mutchnick serves as president of IUP-APSCUF, the union representing the faculty.
