Biography
Dr. Hanrahan joined the IUP faculty in the fall of 1990. Her current research interests include the impact of electronic monitoring on offenders and criminal justice practitioners, trends in higher education and criminology/criminal justice programs, and the utility of qualitative methods in the discipline. She currently serves as assistant chair in the Department of Criminology. She has published in a variety of journals, including most recently the Journal of Criminal Justice Education, Qualitative Research, and The Prison Journal, and has been the recipient of university and college research awards.
