- ARL Presentation: Understanding and Estimating Moderator Effects

- Presented by Christoph Maier, coordinator of the Applied Research Lab, and Mehmet Ferhat Ozbek, visiting professor from Gumushane University in Turkey. Moderators are variables that affect the strength—and even possibly the direction—of the relationship between an independent variable and a dependent variable. We will focus on the special case of one variable moderating the effect of a continuous independent variable on a continuous dependent variable, and will look at an interesting example from Dr. Ozbek’s ongoing research. Please watch your e-mail for a message from the Applied Research Lab with an electronic registration link.
