Services and Description

  • Head Start of Indiana County, Pennsylvania, operates five preschool centers throughout the county, along with a Full-Day/Full-Year Program and an Early Head Start Program.
  • To enroll a child in our program, please contact us at 724-349-6200 or, for toll calls only, 1-800-592-9036. All Head Start Programs are federally funded and provide services to income eligible children and their families in the areas of Child Development, Parent Involvement, Social Services, Health, Mental Health and Nutrition, as well as support to parents of children with disabilities.
  • Early Head Start: home visiting program for pregnant women and their children, birth to three years of age
  • Full day/full year programming for children three to five years of age of working families
  • Part day/part year programs for children three to five years of age; priority to children four years of age
  • IUP Collaboration: offers child care for children ages three to five on the IUP campus (also contact University Child Care Center, Davis Hall, 724-349-1821 for additional services available to IUP students) This is a free service to full-time students and operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students must meet income eligibility requirements for Head Start.
