The IUP Department of Music has many close ties with the music and music education community in the area around Indiana, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, and other towns in the Western/Central Pennsylvania area.
IUP faculty and student ensembles frequently perform and give clinics in area schools. The IUP Honors Band brings in talented students from a wide area to perform in a select ensemble every December.
