Active Minds

Active Minds is an organization composed of students and faculty members whose mission is:

  • To increase awareness among IUP students about issues of mental health, symptoms of mental illness, and available resources in and around the Indiana community.
  • To become a point of reference for IUP students for information on depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, other mental illnesses, and mental health concerns.
  • To become a liaison between IUP students and the mental health community through distributing fact sheets on campus; hosting and/or sponsoring charity fundraisers, guest speakers, and related events; and maintaining a comprehensive website.
