Alpha Chi Sigma: Scientific

The mission of Alpha Chi Sigma is to promote the three objectives, which are

  • To bind its members with a tie of true and lasting friendship
  • To strive for the advancement of chemistry both as a science and as a profession
  • To aid its members by every honorable means in the attainment of their ambitions as chemists throughout their mortal lives

Membership is open to members of the scientific community at IUP to include students, faculty, and staff who have completed at least one year of chemistry. Any person who has passed all trials and has completed initiation will be considered a “lifetime member.” Members who have met the financial obligations for the given semester will be considered “active members.” For more information on this organization, please contact the president and/or advisor listed below.
