National Art Education Association Student Chapter: IUP

The purpose of the National Art Education Association is to:

  • Provide a smooth transition from art education preparation to professional practice.
  • Raise and maintain high standard of quality art education on campus and in the community.
  • Gain greater insight and perspective about the teaching of art and contemporary concepts in art education.
  • Sponsor service projects such as: exhibitions, speakers, etc.
  • Promote an exchange of ideas in art education.
  • Enlist future teachers from high school, promoting as a career both art education and other areas of the arts.
  • Sponsor community projects for children.

Membership in this chapter shall be open to any students who are studying art education at this institution. Members shall be required to maintain the minimum grade average required by the school for the teacher education program. Members shall be required to contribute in time and labor to the promotion of art education on campus and in the community.
