The purpose of the Health, Physical Education, and Sport Majors Club is:
- To create and stimulate an atmosphere of concern for progress in health, physical education, and recreation.
- To encourage greater social and professional cooperation among those interested in health, physical education, recreation, and sport.
- To participate actively in the affairs of the American Association for Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, the State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, and other state and national education associations interested in the growth and development of children and adults.
- To use the special knowledge and skills of the members to serve the entire student body.
- To provide opportunities for contact with various professional organizations and career possibilities, teaching techniques, research advancements, and acquaintance with the philosophy and experiences of educators in Health, Physical Education, and Sport.
