The American Society of Interior Designers’ aims and purposes are:
- To provide the opportunity for professional interaction with outstanding leaders in the interior design field
- To promote interior design awareness within the IUP community
- To provide leadership opportunities for IUP students
- To promote career understanding and aid in the transition into the professional field of interior design
- To provide greater visibility of IUP’s Interior Design program
- To demonstrate and encourage active participation among group members
- To encourage service to the community
- To encourage growth beyond the classroom and demonstrate the relevance of education to the real world
- To foster peer support
