Public Relations Student Society of America: IUP Chapter

The purpose of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is to cultivate a favorable and mutually advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations practitioners. The IUP chapter seeks to foster career development in the field of public relations through professional association and practical experience. We serve our members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and by providing access to professional-development opportunities and a variety of presentations, speeches, and workshops organized during the academic year. In line with the ideas established by PRSSA, the IUP chapter aims to foster the following:

  • Understanding of current theories and procedures of the profession
  • Appreciation of the highest ethical ideals and principles
  • Awareness of an appropriate professional attitude
  • Appreciation of associate membership in PRSSA and eventually accredited membership

Membership in the IUP chapter is available to all members of the IUP student population. For more information on this organization, please contact the president and/or advisor listed below.
