International Unity Day

International Unity Day

International Unity Day is a free-admission cultural celebration held in the spring semester every year, open to the IUP campus and surrounding communities.

International Unity Day 2015 will be held on April 11, 2015, from 12:00–3:00 p.m. in the HUB: Upper Level.

There will be booths presenting food, clothing, photos from 25 different countries, and 13 performances, some of which include a Bollywood dance, a Saudi traditional performance, Chinese yo-yo, Mu Sigma Upsilon multicultural sorority, belly dancing, and the Sue Hewitt Dance Group.

The booths will run from noon until 1:30 p.m. and entertainment will follow afterwards from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m.

A children's activity area, including face painting, calligraphy, mask decorating, and fun games, will be available from noon until 1:30 p.m.

During the event, IUP international students are encouraged to participate by hosting a booth showcasing the culture of their home country (food, music, clothing, etc.).
