First Commonwealth Lecture Features Political Talk

The public is invited to enjoy an evening of serious talk and humor with Mary Matalin and James Carville in the inaugural program of the First Commonwealth Lecture Series. The event takes place at 7:00 p.m., October 1 in the IUP Performing Arts Center’s Fisher Auditorium.

Free tickets are available at the Hadley Union Building ticket office.

Carville and Matalin were in the national spotlight during the 1992 Presidential election, when they worked on opposite sides of the election—Carville for President Bill Clinton and Matalin for President George H.W. Bush. After the election, they married and wrote All’s Fair in Love and War. Both have established careers as commentators and consultants.
