The History Club is open to anyone who has an interest in history. The club organizes fundraisers, trips to local historical sites, movie nights, and guest speakers. IUP’s History Club meets on a weekly basis to hold events or discuss upcoming ones, have fun, and find out what’s new in history.
The club’s advisors are Dr. Franklin-Rahkonen and Dr. Schwamenfeld. We meet in Keith Hall, Room 231, at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday night. Join anytime! There will be membership and active-membership certifications for attending at least six meetings throughout the semester. This can serve as a great extracurricular activity! Eric Slebodnik Memorial Foundation Fundraiser
April 16, 7:00–10:00 p.m. at Zion Luthern Church, Lower Level Social Hall, 100 South Sixth St., Indiana, PA 15701 — Phone 724-465-5597.
This evening will include a brief introduction of the Eric Slebodnik story and the impact of the IUP scholarship in his name. Further donations will be accepted through a drawing of a gift basket taking place the night of the dinner. Menu options will be communicated via e-mail with the provided address on History Club's sign-up sheet. This event is important to everyone within the IUP community, and we look forward to sharing this special occasion with friends and family.
