Decide to End Sexual Violence

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Six O’Clock series will begin September 8 in the Ohio Room of the Hadley Union Building with a program titled “Decide to End Sexual Violence.”  The program is designed to educate men and women on how to prevent sexual assault.

The program will focus on how men and women can work together to build a community that does not tolerate sexual violence. It will be presented by students and staff from the IUP Haven Project, a grant funded initiative intended to increase and improve counseling and advocacy services for IUP women who experience violence; the Alice Paul House, a shelter in the community for battered individuals and their children, and The Center for Health and Well Being.

The Six O’Clock Series will offer nine additional programs during the fall semester. All programs begin at 6:00 p.m. and are held at the Hadley Union Building Ohio Room. All of the programs are free to the community and parking on campus is free after 5:00 p.m.

Students and staff from the IUP Haven Project and the Alice Paul House discuss ways men and women can work together to build a community that does not tolerate sexual violence. Join the discussion and learn what you can do to stop the violence.
