What if I do not have SAP installed on my PC?

If SAP does not appear to be installed on the PC in your office, you will need to contact the person or group responsible for providing your computing support. Those in administrative offices should contact the IT Support Center at it-support-center@iup.edu or 7-4000. Those in academic departments should contact the College Technology Manager for the college. Please see About the IT Support Center if you aren't sure who provides your technology support.

I am having problems running Excel 2007 within SAP. What can I do to fix these problems?

IUP is experiencing errors with running Excel 2007 within SAP. While we work to find the optimal solution, there is an alternative procedure that should work for most cases. This will involve a one-time set up in Excel, and one-time set ups for each type of SAP report that you need to display in Excel format. The steps for these set ups can be found in our SAP Excel 2007 Setup document.

When I try to login to SAP BW from Excel 2007 I get an “Ent” error. What is causing this error and how can I get logged in?

The cause of this problem is that the system does not know which SAP client to start. To solve this problem the user needs to perform a one-time setting to default to BW as the default system. Read Ent Error at Logon to find the steps to perform this set up.

I am printing an SAP report, and it is difficult to read because of the small font. What can I do to fix this problem?

To get a larger print image you will need to make a one-time change to your printer settings. Read Printing a Budget Status Report in BCS to get instructions on how to change your printer settings in order to obtain the larger print image. If you have access to more than one printer you will need to make this change on each of those printers. If you need further assistance, please contact your accountant in the Financial Operations Area.

Can I print from SAP to my local Windows printer?

Yes but you must first define your printer in the SAP system. Consult Local Printing from SAP for step-by-step instructions.
