The IUP wave artmark, which incorporates the academic IUP logo, is the preferred identifier in Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s visual identity system. The wave artmark positions the traditional, angular IUP logo against an IUP Crimson field that incorporates a curved wave at the bottom in white and IUP Gray. The wave adds a more human focus and a sense of movement to the logo—elements that were notably missing in the original logo.

Wave Artmark

PMS 201 C Crimson: upper wave

White: IUP logo and center wave

PMS 422 C Gray: lower wave

This artmark replaces all previous institutional logos as the preferred graphic identifier to be used to represent the academic and administrative programs of IUP.

Please note: The artmark is a unique design and cannot be accurately reproduced with any typeface. It must not be hand drawn, scanned, or modified in any way. It should be reproduced only from the original electronic files.

Black-and-White Logo Art

The IUP wave artmark is also available in a black-and-white version, shown at left.

The wave artmark should be reproduced in full color whenever possible. When full-color reproduction is not possible, black-and-white is the preferred color combination. This version of the artmark should not be reproduced in crimson-and-white or gray-and-white combinations or in any other non-IUP colors.
