The Communications and Marketing area consults with clients regarding appropriateness of copy, cost-effective printing methods, clients’ budgets and projected costs, graphic design, and, if necessary, special photography to ensure the university receives the best possible product for its expense. The Communications and Marketing area also arranges for printing, whether on or off campus, and assists clients through the university’s purchasing process by writing specifications and working directly with printers.
To initiate your project, fill out the intake form (Word doc) and then contact the Creative Services manager, who acts as the Communications and Marketing project manager, at 724-357-3062 or via e-mail: communications-project@iup.edu. If your project entails placement of an advertisement, contact the ad coordinator instead.
There is a lengthy process involved in getting your project from start to finish. (Please see below the outline of the steps involved). During the job intake process, the Creative Services manager will communicate the time it will take for a proof of your project to be created (Client Review). When you sign off on the final designed product, it is then taken to the Print Center. The IUP Printing Center asks for four weeks for printing. This timeframe for printing is comparable to schedules of commercial printers.
