Undergraduate Programs

The IUP Department of Music offers three undergraduate degree programs, each of which prepare students for various careers or further studies in music and the music profession.

• The Bachelor of Arts in Music (B.A.) is a liberal arts curriculum with two tracks:
  • General Studies
  • Theory and Composition
• The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) is a performance-based program with studies in all orchestral instruments and voice.
• The Bachelor of Science in Education/Music Education (B.S.) leads to K–12 certification in music.

The College of Fine Arts also has a program in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts (I.F.A.) with tracks in:
