Many students pursue a Spanish minor in order to increase their job opportunities and to make them more marketable in today’s global society. Pair a Spanish minor with any major on campus to increase your employment opportunities.

The Spanish minor consists of a 22-credit course of study covering intermediate Spanish language, as well as course work in Hispanic literature and culture.

SPAN 220 Intermediate Spanish Conversation 3 credits
SPAN 230 Intermediate Spanish Composition and Grammar 3 credits
SPAN 260 Introduction to Hispanic Literature 3 credits
SPAN 350 Advanced Spanish Conversation 3 credits
SPAN 342 Twentieth-Century Spanish Civilization and Culture  
    OR 3 credits
SPAN 344 Twentieth-Century Spanish American Civilization and Culture  
Controlled Electives
One course from the following:
SPAN 340, SPAN 342, SPAN 344, SPAN 362, SPAN 364, or SPAN 453
