Thank you for your interest in the IUP Women’s Leadership Awards! Award recipients are selected for their outstanding campus leadership experience, academic excellence, and community achievements.
Women are chosen for this honor by the Selection Committee according to their cumulative grade point average, the nominating reference, and the information submitted on the application. All applications are to be returned to the Center for Health and Well-Being,G59 Suites on Maple East, by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013. Please e-mail health-awareness@iup.edu with questions.
The deadline for applications has been extended to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013.
Undergraduate Women
Qualifications for the undergraduate award include the following:
- Freshman, sophomore, or junior
- Two undergraduate students will be selected for the Pennsylvania SSHE Consortium Award and invited to attend the Women’s Leadership Institute
- One undergraduate student will be selected for the NEW Leadership Award and invited to attend the New Leadership Pennsylvania Institute
- Strong academic achievement
- Candidates will be judged on cocurricular activity, community service, and leadership skills

Senior Women
Qualifications for the Senior Award include the following:
- One senior student will be selected
- Strong academic achievement
- Candidates will be judged on cocurricular activity, community service, and leadership definition
