The Resource Library maintains a collection of educational and cultural materials on the history, culture, achievements, and contributions of African Americans. This includes books, journals, magazines, newspapers, commercial videos, and videotapes of selected programs sponsored by the African American Cultural Center. A number of general support materials are also maintained, including the Chronicle of Higher Education and limited career-related materials. The commercial videos are cataloged through the university's Stapleton Library.

Efforts are made to update the library regularly with new and scholarly materials as funds permit. Recommendations and specific requests for materials to supplement classroom instruction are encouraged.
