There are three steps in applying for Leadership Certification:
- Submit Leadership application materials to the IUP Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation.
- If approved by the center, submit application for admission to the IUP School of Graduate Studies and Research.
- If approved by the graduate school, register on line.
Step 1: Submit Leadership Application Materials to the IUP Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation
Submit the following to apply to the Leadership program:
- Application: Use one of the following:
- Copy of professional certificate
- Résumé or vita
- Letter of recommendation from the school administration indicating
- Permission for the candidate to develop competencies
- A willingness to sponsor the candidate
- A statement of the candidate’s teaching experiences
- Transcripts of all postsecondary coursework

You will be contacted once your application has been reviewed.
Step 2: If Approved by the Center, Submit Application for Admission to the IUP School of Graduate Studies and Research
The Leadership program is a graduate-level program. You must be accepted for admission to IUP through the IUP School of Graduate Studies and Research.

Be sure to choose the Business Workforce Development, M.Ed. (Administrative Track) as your program of interest when completing the application.
In addition to the application, you must also submit the following:
- $35 application fee
- Official transcripts from all universities/institutions attended, even those from which you did not receive a degree (Note: If you attended IUP, you do not have to supply those transcripts.)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Goal statement
