Prerequisite: A student may not register for this course after successfully completing any course offered by the mathematics department without written approval of the Department of Developmental Studies Chairperson.
Provides students with minimal algebra skills prior to introducing basic probability and descriptive statistics concepts as well as a review of basic geometry concepts and algorithms. Topics include: identification and simplification of terms and expressions; mean, median, mode calculations; bar, line and circle graph construction and interpretation; application and calculation of plane geometry formulae. Carries Institutional, non-degree credit. Attendance is required.
