An Important Notice About Your Semester Grades

Students obtain their grades electronically at IUP. You will not receive your grades in the mail but will access them via the Web. Important information follows.

Who

All undergraduate and graduate students at IUP.

What

Obtain your semester grades and/or review your transcript electronically through the Web.

Why

You will have more rapid and convenient access to your semester grades and university transcript (unofficial).

Where

Your home, your job, your vacation spot, or anywhere in the world where there is access to the Internet.

How

The following step-by-step procedure will enable you to access your grades and/or unofficial transcript. It is very similar to the steps you used to register for your courses.

  1. Go to the URSA website.
  2. Select “Log in to Secure Area” to start the process.
  3. When asked to enter your User ID, enter the number that appears above the picture on your I-Card. Be sure to begin the number with the symbol @.
  4. Enter your PIN number. Then select “Login.” (If this is the first time you have ever logged into the system, your PIN number is a random six-digit number available from the Registrar’s Scheduling Office. You will then create a new PIN, which must be a six-digit code you will always remember.)
  5. Select “Student Services and Financial Aid.”
  6. Select “Academic Records.”
  7. Select “Final Grades.” Note: At this point you could select “View Academic Transcript” instead if it is your desire to review your total IUP grade transcript.
  8. Select the term, then select the gray box “Display Grades.” You will now see your grades. If you are unsure what a particular grade symbol means, select “Grade Legend” and a description of each symbol will appear. You can also print an unofficial hard copy of either your semester grades or transcript if you desire by selecting “Print.”
  9. When you are finished, be sure to select “Exit” to leave the system, then exit your web browser.
