Students are reviewed for degree candidacy the semester following the completion of 12 hours of graduate credits. (Some departments require more than twelve credits for candidacy.) Students must be enrolled in course work to be reviewed for candidacy. To be admitted to candidacy, students must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of no less than 3.0 (or higher, depending upon the "Good Standing" GPA of the program) in all graduate course work and must have met all program requirements to the satisfaction of their department.
