Don’t Let History Repeat Itself

Are you seeking employment in non-teaching fields, including careers in museum, archival, library work, public policy, or tourism and travel? Or, do you want to pursue a career in the public sector or community education. The IUP History graduate program is designed to provide students with training appropriate to a wide range of professional goals.

History Concentration

Prepare for professional positions in the public sector, including publishing and research or public and community education. Choose from concentrations in American and/or European history, and experience courses that combine conventional history with research.

Public History Concentration

Prepare for a career in archives, museums, governmental agencies, historical societies, while engaging in historical editing, preservation, and more. Courses that combine conventional history with public history, research, and internships.
