The department offers preparation to be certified in the teaching of social studies with a concentration in Anthropology. This program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. With its emphasis on crosscultural comparisons, the realities of contemporary global cultures, and cultural resource management, Anthropology provides a solid foundation for teaching social science at the secondary level. The department also offers a minor in Anthropology.
