Group of Communications Media and Instructional Technology students The Ph.D. in Communications Media and Instructional Technology is designed to address the three core areas of the discipline:

  • Theory and Culture
  • Production
  • Research

Unlike many doctoral programs in the field that have minimal production components, the IUP program considers the production of media to be a critical a part of the program and incorporates it as an integral part of the program. The department has the faculty and facilities to support all three core areas effectively.
